Applied Natural Sciences, Inc. (ANS) is an environmental consulting firm that specializes in innovative TreeWell® technology, which forms a core component of our PHYTO-INTEGRATED™ Remediation Systems. We are currently in search of a Project Scientist to enhance our team. If you're a Geologist, Microbiologist, Agronomist, Environmental Engineer or possess a similar background, and are eager to advance your career in a supportive, collaborative, and non-corporate-metric-driven environment, we'd like to connect with you. 

In the role of a Project Scientist at ANS, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients from various industries. Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating project feasibility, developing project designs, overseeing the installation of TreeWell technology, and managing ongoing site monitoring activities. Furthermore, you will have the chance to contribute to the field of phytoremediation through conducting field research and presenting at national and international conferences, thus playing a pivotal role in advancing environmental solutions.

Essential Functions: 

• Supervise company field projects  

• Prepare proposals, site designs, monitoring data reports 

• Engage in business development 

• Take part in ongoing mentorship by ANS Senior Consultant 

• Attend/present at select phytoremediation conferences 

• Travel as needed (expect heavier travel schedule during spring and fall, up to three weeks at a time on some projects)

 
Required Education, Experience, and Skills: 
BA/BS degree or higher 
5 to 10 years of technical experience 
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Annual starting salary: $90,000 

• Profit Sharing Bonuses: portion of 10% employee pool (distributed semi-annually as available) 

• WFH Tech/Internet Reimbursement: $200/month 

• Health Insurance: ANS will pay 75% of annual premium from Cigna or the cash equivalent for reimbursement of health insurance of your choice
